Walk with me to find a cure for arthritis!

On May 2, 2009, the Keswick Family will be walking in our 5th San Jose Arthritis Walk! Over the years, the Arthritis Foundation has worked hard to find a cure for arthritis. As most of you know, Jacob has Juvenile Arthritis and we are so grateful for the support of all our family and friends, as well as the Arthritis Foundation. Through this organization, we have gained valuable knowledge and Jacob has been able to participate in many events where he has met other children suffering from this disease.

This year was one of the most difficult for Jacob due to another arthritis flareup that started in July 2008. There were days when he could hardly walk and watching him limp and suffer was very difficult. We experimented with various medications that gave Jacob some relief. In November, we started giving him injections twice each week with Enbrel. Within a week, he was feeling noticeably better. After a month, he was able to go back to karate, participate in PE, and play outside with his friends.

The San Jose Walk is an important fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation and a great way to support those you care about that have arthritis. Join us in this fight against the number one cause of disabiltiy in the United States. We invite you to walk with us, donate, and/or become more aware of how we can all move together and stay healthy!
